Suessa Aurunca

Now Sessa; a town of the Aurunci in Latium, east of the Via Appia, between Minturnae and Teanum, on the western slope of Mount Massĭcus. It was the birthplace of the poet Lucilius, hence called by Juvenal (i. 20) alumnus Auruncae.
